Dwight Howard left the Los Angeles Lakers after simply a year of discontent, instead picking the Houston Rockets for a potential future of success. This leaves Lakers fans in disarray.

 

Although the Los Angeles Lakers lost a centerpiece for the future in Dwight Howard this past summer, there are still things to look forward to. One of the major plans they’ve initiated years before was for the upcoming summer of 2014. All of their players’ contracts end at 2014 with the exception of Steve Nash. With a “bonanza” of talented players coming off the books next summer (LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Rudy Gay), Laker fans can look forward to superstar talent accompanying Kobe Bryant once again in just a year!
