- The system I use to plan everything I need to do each day is having a planner. I’ve been using this technic since high school, I find it really helpful because I’ve always been a neat freak so the planner comes in handy. I write everything I have to do, buy, any responsibilities, meetings, or events I need to attend all in different colors. I’m also a very visual person, so having multiple colors makes it stand out as well as having the appearance of my planner looking nice and organized. There are many things I need to remember having my planner keeps me on track, and I never miss anything because I got into a habit of checking it every day. On weekends I sit down for a couple of minutes and jot down future responsibilities so I could be ahead of the game and not worry about forgetting it to write it down. My planner is a sense of relief, although I get stressed with other things I can always count on my planner to let me know what I have to do.
- Personally I wouldn’t use all of the five self- management tools separately just because these tools connect to me having a planner, I don’t need to waste extra time creating these separately. Expect for the project folder I already do that with all of my classes, I have a very specific technic I use. Having one multi –folder containing about 5 sections and color coding each class with a specific color, eventually I would memorize which color goes with with class. I believe I have very good self-management skills overall, having my planner plays a huge role and incorporates these five self- management tools.
