ABOVE AND BEYOND by Keli Jarazi.

Hi everyone,

My name is Keli and I am supposed to tell something about myself but nothing is coming up right now .

Okay, I was born and raised in Albania and  basically spent my whole life there searching to find myself or at least to find what i was going to do with my life. Nothing happened since Albania is a really small place and you can’t do much. And then, two months ago, i moved here in NYC to start a new life alone without my friends or family. When I first got here I was like the song “… the lights will inspire you…” but then i realised that just when you think that you don’t need anyone and you can go on by yourself, that is exactly the time when you start missing what you had  before. I don’t want to get too emotional or something but I am explaining this just to make a connection between myself and the kind of music that I like. I started listening Trance a few years ago, back when albanian teenagers were listening Florida, Chris Brown and Usher. Well i don’t think they are bad, but i wasn’t really interested in that kind of music, what i really was interested in was something more deeper, more personal but also melodious, something like trance.

” Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that developed in the 1990s in Germany. A trance refers to a state of hypnotism and lessened consciousness. This drifting sensation is portrayed in the genre by mixing many layers and rhythms to create build and release’ ( information by Wikipedia)

I know that nowdays trance music is commercialized and people mostly teenagers use it for parties and stuff but in those days it really meant something to me. My favorite dj’s are  “ABOVE AND BEYOND”. They have an album called  “Group Therapy” and when they do their tour around the world, fans in the audience always hold each other hands and sing different songs from the album in sign of respect for each other and some people also actually do marriage proposals. So yeah that’s it I guess..  I also like other music like other dj’s or some really good hip hop,  but guys if you are interested to listen some nice stuff, here you go :
