Enrichment #3

Today I went to the undergraduate career day Starr center to talk about my future career. Im majoring in Business and minoring in psychology, I hope that I can use both in my future career because they work very well together. I was glad I finally made the choice to go in there because there are a lot of helpful resources, specially I never knew that you could just go in there and ask for some dress clothes for an interview so that was neat to find out. There were a lot of tables around and it was kinda busy when I first walked in there but I made my way around the room towards the business centered tables and got talking with this guy named Jim. He was pretty helpful with all the questions I had and made me feel more confident going forward in my career path.

10th week of school

I am now catching up on all the crap I put off, including these weekly posts. I failed my math test so I gotta try harder in that class. I have an essay due in American Government and I hate essays, so that’s happening. Not a whole lot else is going on, Im excited to go back home and see my buddys over winter break and go ski. That’s about all that’s going on.

9th week of college

Ive been walking like 12 dogs a week so Im making some money finally, I might get a haircut idk. I haven’t gotten a haircut since I moved here in August. Im running out of things to say.

8th week of college

I bought a monthly MTA  card but it printed out a 1 time use and it still charged me $130 smh. I bought buffalo wild wings blazin wings and barely got through one wing, not a lot is going on.

6th week of college

I went to a wedding this weekend in Seattle for a family friend of ours, after the rehearsal dinner on friday I went back to the TKE frat house at UW and proceeded to get royally wasted to the point that I missed the wedding the next day, usually I wouldn’t be in that bad of shape but I think because of the jet leg and I was already getting a little sick made it a lot worse. Fun fact though when I finally made it into the reception that night I sat down at my spot and struck up a conversation with the great great great grandson of Teddy Roosevelt I later found out.

5th week of college

My English teacher is pretty cool. He’s super old and hates all electronics so there’s no way to contact him, we always joke the only way to get ahold of him is through mail. Every other person is on there phone during class and he doesn’t notice unless hears something and looks in your general direction. Overall its pretty fun though cause we make it fun.

4th week of college

I went to Philadelphia to go visit my Aunt and Uncle and it was fun, I got a home cooked meal for the first time in a couple months and it was pretty good. I drank beers with my uncle and watched the disappointment in his eyes as he watched the Phillies play a pointless game. I am a fan of the philly cheeses take so I was excited to be able to get an authentic one.

3rd week of college

I have an American Government teacher who can’t teach. He doesn’t use slides or anything to help us take notes, all he does is assigns a reading and talks about about. He has a very strong accent, and nothing is wrong with that, but it does not help me to try and stay focused. We had our first test and it was the midterm and most of the class failed, a few got a C, and the highest score was an 82, people shouldn’t be failing an entry level American government class.

2nd week of college

I have a math teacher who thinks he’s the shit and always says how his “other class from Laguardia can do it so why can’t you guys.” He doest teach us at all and his class is a joke. Even though he try’s to roast us every class, we always are catching him on his mistakes so why should I take him seriously if a bunch of people who are dozing in and out of sleep at 8 am are catching his mistakes I can’t imagine how many mistakes we don’t know about in our notes.
