Sarge’s Deli – Cheesecakes

If you’re a fan of sandwiches then Sarge’s Deli on 548 3rd Ave in New York City is the place to go.  I’ve been to Katz, 2nd Ave Deli and Sarge’s, and Sarge’s definitely takes the cake for the best sandwich.  But, this post isn’t about their delicious sandwiches, this post is about there delicious desserts they offer, mainly their out of this world cheese cake.

Sarge’s Deli offers well over 30 different desserts.  Everything from cakes, pies, pudding and ice cream.  If it has carbs and sugar, they got it!  After reading several reviews about how their cheesecake was, I had to try it.

Accompanied by my beautiful girlfriend, we started off with two of their delicious sandwiches.  The lady got her lox and cream cheese on a bagel, while I got my standard corned beef and pastrami sandwich.  The sandwiches were superb as usual.  And then for dessert we decided on the original cheesecake and their strawberry topped variety.

First of all, the pieces of cheesecake they served us were ginormous!  After taking the first bite,  the cake definitely surpassed the quality of the famous Juniors.  The cheesecake was moist, dense but extremely elegant.  The same goes for the the strawberry covered.  The addition of the strawberries added a nice fruit flavor to the whole package.

If you have a thing for sweets and cheesecake is on the list, then Sarge’s cheesecake is a must try!  Sarge’s definitely gets Chan’s seal of approval!
