Two Ingredients for the people who never cook
Did you ever notice when someone’s cooking garlic and oil, there will always be someone who asks what are you cooking? That’s because it smells so darn delicious and literally can be put onto everything. If you’re new to cooking or don’t cook very much, these two ingredients will make you look like an all star chef. Both of these ingredients provide a lot of health benefits which I’ve listed below.
- Garlic:
- High in antioxidants
- Reduces cholesterol
- Helps blood flow
- Reduces the chance of certain cancers
- Excellent source of vitamins and minerals
- Olive oil
- Reduces cholesterol
- Anti-inflammatory
- Lowers digestive tract cancers
- Promotes bone health
The use of these two ingredients in dishes will provide many healthy benefits while providing great flavor and aroma. Garlic and olive oil goes great with vegetables, meats, pastas, fish and most carbohydrates.
What you’ll need?
- Fresh garlic
- 1-2 cups Extra virgin olive oil (due your research as there are many options available, there are many brands of olive oil out there, and they are not all created equal)
Process:
- Chop up garlic, depending on how strong you want your oil
- Pour oil into a small pan and heat on medium
- Toss the garlic into the oil and let it cook for roughly 5-7 minutes.
- Once the garlic is browned you can remove from the heat and use it as you please.
