As most Americans know, Apple has become one of the top hardware developing company in the United States. They have been releasing new innovations almost every year including tablet devices and many new features on their cellular devices. After the death of Steve Jobs, Apple has been trying to make this company one of the top in the world, falling short behind Samsung Electronics. But recent technological advances in Apple have been raising many accusations and contemplations on whether or not Apple products are actually safe for consumers to use. Relating back to a similar article about the wiretapping that Google has been using, there have been accusations of Apple storing user’s personal info in their database. As most Apple users know, the most state of the art IPhone dropped last week, the IPhone 5s. For those that are unaware, this new phone offers a new feature when unlocking your device to use it. Apple has decided to include a fingerprint-scanning device for consumer’s to use to unlock your IPhone. Although this made some users concerned, most didn’t think much of it. But fingerprinting fabricates passcodes, which attract thieves and hackers. Because your fingerprint is being stored inside a database, isn’t there a possibility that your data can travel? My point being is not to persuade people not to buy Apple products but to just help people be aware of the recent technological advances and how it can impact lives in the US.
