Hello,

Once again, I am Ashley Bazile. I am 21 years old and currently a Junior at Baruch College. I was born in Brooklyn, NY. For the first four years of my life, however,  I was raised by my grandmother in Boston, MA. I moved back shortly after turning 4 years old and have lived in Brooklyn ever since.

This semester I am taking 17 credits and 6 courses. My major is Corporate Communications. I have not officially declared my minor but I am leaning towards a minor is Journalism. This is my first Journalism course but I am also taking 2 more Journalism based courses this semester. I am very passionate about writing but I lean more towards Creative Writing. The end goal is to have written a book before I pass away but I do not think Creative Writing is something I want to do career wise. I think of it as more of a hobby currently but with time that may change.

Fun Fact – I was born on February 29th, 1992, which was a Leap Day. Technically I am 5 years old since my actual birthday only comes once every 4 years. During the years that my actual birthday do not appear, I celebrate on both the 28th of February and the first of March ( 28 + 1 = 29 lol )

I am very family oriented. Most of the time if I am not working or at school, I can be found at a family function or at my brother’s house playing with nephews. I have 3 nephews all under the age of 5. My first nephew, Christian, is 3 years old and his little brothers are twins, Nathan and Ethan. The twins are one years old. My nephews are my pride and joy. i treat them as if they are my own kids. However, the best part is when they become too out of hand I can always bring them back home. They have truly showed me that I am not ready for children at this stage in my life.

Even though I am very family oriented, I make sure to make time for friends. I have three best friends – Farra, Colleen, and DaOndra. They are the people I turn to when I feel like the world is against me. Farra, I met through Sconex several months before we started high school together. Colleen, I met the summer after I graduated high school and DaOndra, I met my second year at Baruch College in French class.

I guess those are a few things about me 🙂
