Rochester is the man that Antoinette manages to marry. Their honeymoon following their marriage is the subject of Part Two of the novel where he takes over in narration. He and his wife relocate to England but don’t manage to live peacefully for too long as Antoinette eventually loses her sanity to the point that he has her locked up and guarded by a servant in the house attic.
