As a child, some of my earliest memories are of playing video games with family and friends. It comes as a surprise to some that I was capable of playing video games before I could read. In short, video games have played a fairly substantial part in my life. Now looking back, I can whole heartedly and without hesitation attest to the notion that video games aided my social and cognitive development. Video games have introduced me to advanced terminologies and abstract concepts, strengthened my relationships with others, and expanded on the many skills deemed necessary by society to thrive as an individual. Video games have been, in moderation, a beneficial contribution in my life and I am adamant on proving that game play of any kind should be utilized by all as a way to improve and cultivate their abilities.
