My life matters because I have already been through tremendous hardships. I come from a country that was completely destroyed as a result of war. While growing up, I did not have access to electricity, computers, libraries, labs, playgrounds, or any other extracurricular activities. Despite all these hardships, I never gave up on my education. As Nelson Mandela has said, “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.” I feel that it is our responsibility to equip ourselves with the knowledge and experience that will help us to contribute to the development of our society and make the world a better place.
