I remember last time I mailed a letter was six years ago. Even though there was email at that time already, I still went to post office and mailed letters to my friends. Then, I had to wait for their reply and the whole process could take more than two weeks. However, I have never done that since then because I am able to know how they have been recently and talk to them on Facebook. Even if I am not at home and I am not on my computer, I still have my phone that has the Facebook app and some other instant messenger app, which allow me to communicate with my friends anytime I want. I do not have to worry about if the message is lost and I can get their response in one day.
We can see how technology changes our daily lives in these few years. It also changes our working environment. Before, if people wanted to do business with other people in another country, they had to go to that country in person and talk to them face-to-face. The flight might already take up one day. However, in recent years, people can just hold an online conference and communicate online. That can save a lot of time and money. Since the world is changing so fast because of the technology, I really wonder how the world and the working environment will look like after we finish college and when we start working.
