- This was a science based podcast as the speakers talked about how language relates to the way humans think using scinetific evidence. According ti the podcast, when children approach the age of 6 they naturally understand the uses and elements of languages. All these tests were discussed in this podcast.
- A science based podcast may be similar to an advertisement because it uses severak forms of scientific data as evidence to seem more credible to the audience.
- Function of facts is a more straightfoward approach where the podcast is displaying conventional unbiased ideas or statements to the audience whereas an anecdote is more of a personal narrative. In my opinion, an anecdote would be more persuasive since I would gain a better perspective based on another person’s experience.
- The audio effects helped create more of a vivid imagery in my head. For example, I imagined the whole experiement of what the scientists were conducting with through the mices.
- I would use a couple of interviews where people would share their personal experiences. I believe narratives are the most persuasive forms of advertisements because we would gain a better insight of what it would feel like to be in such situations.
- I learned that the minds of babies function almost the same as rats in terms of language until the age of 6.
- Although some parts of the podcast were interesting, I will admit I did get bored and wandered off on many parts of it. I had a hard time paying attention to the whole podcast due to its length.

(a) I also agree with that an anecdote would be more persuasive in that it can give better perspective based on another person’s experience. Although a function of fact can convey the information directly, anecdote make the audience to think more deeper with their narrative stories.
(b) You wrote that your would use some interviews for the radio ads like a function of anecdote, but in radio ad, there are limited time (such as 30 secs). How can you put all of those interviews in your radio ad?
