Consider the following:
- Are you interested in particular neighborhoods? Why?
- What neighborhoods are you considering, how do they differ?
- Who is your competition in the area?
- Will your customers come from the immediate neighborhood or are you a destination location?
- If customers come from the immediate neighborhood, who lives locally and is your merchandise compatible with the demographic?
- Do the locals have disposable income?
- Does the location have good foot traffic and visibility?
- What kind of signage can you have?
- Are there local merchant associations that can help you grow?
- Can you hire from the immediate neighborhood?
- What kind of building do you want to be in?
- Who are the neighboring tenants?
