With Brazil 2014 just around the corner, national soccer teams are busy traveling the world hoping to get through the World Cup qualifications. Over in Europe, however, players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, aren’t as focused on securing one of those positions as one would assume. With the Champion League taking place, pressure to claim the trophy as Real Madrid’s is rapidly increasing, as it would mark Real Madrid’s Décima win. Real Madrid has easily managed to bring nine cups back to their trophy cabinet, but since 2002, under Zinedine Zidane’s assistant coaching, Real Madrid has been unsuccessful in accomplishing its 10th win. For the past years, Real Madrid’s President, Florentino Pérez, has been carelessly spending all the clubs earnings and even asking the bank for loans. His hope: to buy the playershe believes have the skill required to finally claim the Cup as Madrid’s.
