For next week, we will be reading three things: two essays and an excerpt of a long poem. This will be substantially more pages than we have read yet so far, so please plan on spending some extra time reading this weekend. I will include links to all three items below. Please read them in the following order:

1. “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” (excerpt), by Mary Wollstonecraft
2. “Women and Honor” by Adrienne Rich
3. “Don Juan,” (excerpt) by Lord George Gordon Byron

Please begin reading Canto One of “Don Juan” at Stanza LIV on page 198, and try to read through Stanza LXXXII on page 203 for Monday.
