Reading Response #1

For our next class meeting, Wednesday February 22nd, please write a response to The Life of Lazarillo de Tormes. Your response should be around one page in length, double-spaced.

Your response should be focused on a single scene from the book, though it may make reference to the entire work. Analyze the scene, in order to make a claim.
You should look for moments of irony or strong emotion in the story, as these often prove especially useful.

Your response need only be a single paragraph. It should, however, have both a clear thesis and be written in the Claims, Evidence, Analysis (CEA) format.
Please bring 3 copies to class!!!

I provided a list of potential scenes in class (available here). You may choose a different scene, of course. You may also write about the same scene you considered along with your group in class – but do not make the same argument that your group did.
