About

This blog is intended to be a source of career resources for job seekers, individuals in career transitions and those actively managing their careers. We also post the latest news, Starr events, and career opportunities that are open to Baruch undergrads.

Our Mission

The Starr Career Development Center provides comprehensive career services to over 15,000 undergraduates beginning in their first year at Baruch and continuing through graduation.

Starr’s mission, like that of Baruch College, is to be a “catalyst for the social, cultural, and financial mobility of a diverse student body, reflective of its historical mission.” We provide career-related counseling, resources, workshops, and leadership development programs to help individuals clarify academic and career goals, establish career plans, develop job search skills, and make successful career transitions.

We build and maintain relationships with alumni and employers to develop internship, job, and career opportunities. We create strategic partnerships with campus departments to assist students in developing and articulating co-curricular experiences that will help to clarify their career interests, become ethical leaders, and ensure they are competitive in their future pursuits.
