My consideration in the responsibility of digital citizenship has always been positive. I believe too often we are seeing students as well as adults misusing and abusing technology but not sure what to do. The issue is user do not know what is consider appropriate in social media. A positive digital citizen expresses their own thoughts or opinions in social media with an appropriate behavior.
I access to a lot of different social profiles and medias throughout the day, and experienced or witnessed a lot of inappropriate languages or insults. I believe our opinions or thoughts should be out there to educate or help individuals with different perspectives in certain topics. Whether or not audiences agree or disagree with the new thoughts and opinions, we need to appreciate their time and effort to enlarge our viewpoint and perspective.
The responsibilities might a digital citizen have to his community is to understand the appropriate behavior be maintained in expressing its opinions or thoughts in social media. Digital citizens have the right to have their own opinions, but should do it with an appropriate manner. There are no excuses to disrespect other digital citizen or audience in any way.
