The violences show in this novel are difference. There are small groups involved 2 or 3 people, and there are also large groups involved a whole family or a whole town.
The violences which are designed by small groups are more like polts or cons. Frauds or criminals plan in the dark and then they performed. They may collect information from somewhere, and then come up with a plan to trick or stole mostly properties. for example, in chapter 12, there are three men trying to stole from the steamboat. Then they get into a fright, two men want to kill the third. Also, the Duck and King, two frauds, always practices before their cons. They both fright a lot. The members of these small group work together, but they don’t trust each other.
The violences which are played by a whole family or a whole town don’t has a practice nor a planing. It is more like a violent culture, which do more harm than the smaller one. These people are born into a violence environment, and then they grow up as part of the violence. For example, the feud between the Grangerfords and the Shepherdsons, and the mud in a town where is filled with lazy bones.
The small groups can be stopped by arresting them, but it is hard to change these people involved in these larger violences.
