At first I didn’t think that using twitter to explore Huck Finn would be effective because it is difficult to get an entire thought into 140 characters. But it turns out that when there is an entire feed with dozens of people tweeting different thoughts, then there really isn’t a need to post a lot because someone else might just finish the thought for you.
It was also good because after posting a tweet, someone else can respond to your idea or question and maybe give you a little clarity on what a specific moment in the novel symbolizes. The tweets were definitely helpful when it came to finding evidence or ideas for the short papers when you couldn’t think of anything.
Overall I think that it was easier to appreciate the tweets and the purpose of this project as it comes to close because the topics for the essays did become a little more complex and the tweets have become a better resource than the book itself because there are a lot of analyses of all of the chapters in Huck Finn.
