As you may have noticed, we’ve featured many students’ stories from their time studying or working abroad on the blog. This serves the purpose of not only showing the various services the Center provides for students, but also giving them a chance to tell their stories and experiences abroad.
While blogging has made writing about international adventures easy and accessible, travel logs have been around for centuries. From Nasir Khusraw’s Safarnama in the 11th century to Hans Christian Andersen’s The Improvisatore in the 19th century to John Steinbeck’s 1948 book, A Russian Journal.
The experience of immersing oneself in a new culture is a topic that never gets old. Traveling abroad is a new and unique opportunity for everyone- no two journeys are the same.
