When sketching ideas , my mind kept going to Peter Pan and using Peter Pan related images. It was hard for me to get away from the idea of using the images that the quote derived directly from. I also realized a lot of the ideas I had were then improved upon once I started transferring ideas from my sketch to inDesign. After the sketches, I liked the one that was the simplest and that didn’t have any images related to Peter Pan. I ended up trying typefaces such as Helvetica and Garamond and in the end used Garamond as my typeface. I tried Helvetica but it did not express the right emotion that the quote was expressing. I also played around with the position of the text as well as which direction the text will be read from.
In this project, I became more comfortable with using inDesign and I am happy to say that I also learned a little of Photoshop as well.
