Baruch Specific Resources:

  • Conversation Partners Program (CPP) – Matches native and nonnative speakers of English for informal conversations. The partnerships are a great way for nonnative students to gain confidence in English, for native speakers to gain experience in communicating across language barriers, and for both native and nonnative speakers to expand their cultural knowledge, make friends, and build a network of professional contacts.
  • GoinGlobal (Free access through Baruch) – Compiles information, resources, and recent job postings for national and international opportunities. They also provide country career guides to 33 different countries and 43 U.S cities. They allow you to search for country or USA city specific career employment information. Includes data on U.S. companies that have sponsored international students in the past. Automatic Baruch login when you’re on campus.
  • The International Student Service Center (ISSC) – Offers special programming and administrative services on immigration and visa matters for International Students at Baruch College.
  • Mango Language (Free access through Baruch) – Prepares learners for realistic conversations and strengthens everyday communication skills in over 70 world languages, including English.
  • Office of National and Prestigious Fellowship Advising – Valeria Hrimnak guides students through the steps in applying to any kind of fellowship, from building connections to faculty, to refining initial ideas — all the way through the stages of proposal-writing.
  • Tools for Clear Speech – This program helps strengthen the oral communication skills of English language learners and nonnative English speakers at Baruch College. Students can make an appointment for 1:1 support or take a workshop on pronunciation, pragmatics, interview small-talk, and more. They can build their skills in a supportive atmosphere with peers who share their concerns and professionals who can help them succeed.
  • Uniworld Online (Free access through Baruch) – An excellent resource for US & global company contact information. Students can use this website to look at organizations that operate in both the US and their home country. They can pull employer lists to find career opportunities.

  • National Associate of Colleges and Employers (NACE)– The leading source of information on the employment of the college educated and identifies best practices and benchmarks.
  • NACADA – Promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) – MHFA is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
