Week 5

This week at my internship, I redesigned one of CVISION’s existing infographic to match their rebranding initiatives. Someone already started creating a new design; I added to their work and finished it off. Also, I created a version three of the data sheet from last time. This time they wanted me to make the design more “print” focused, that is similar to the old design with a graphic banner. Not too much design so that the text is more prominent. So basically, I created new banners for the data sheets with a more modern design for the graphic. Today, I also started working on redesigning a new template for their powerpoint presentation that reflects their new branding. In addition to all of these, I also updated the website, assigned leads to sales people, and conducted some research in Adwords.

For my side project, I created the index page/first page. I set up everything including the HTML, CSS, linked pages (About Me, Portfolio, and Contacts) and the descriptions. I also started working on the About Me page. It took me a while to set everything up because I am still getting used to coding. Hopefully, by the end of all of this I will become better.

As for my independent study, I just sketched some possible logo ideas. When I was sketching, I started leaning more towards letterform types of logos than wordmarks. I guess, it appeals to me more as I see a lot of graphic designer use the same approach. My goal for next week is to have a logo ready to show everyone.
