Week 2

This week’s update!

Unfortunately, Yohi was out of town last week and I wasn’t able to meet face to face with her to go over the branding and redesign strategy.  Instead I utilized my time exploring her existing website in search for Improvement opportunities.  I also looked over some of the competition’s websites and researched on pinterest wedding arrangements and other wedding related images. I felt this was extremely helpful in identifying some of the aspects in which the current website is lacking. My main takeaway from this exercise was the need to establish easily accessible imagery and categorizing the information available.

It’s important for the customer to be able to quickly and easily identify what they are looking for, whether it’s a centerpiece or a boutique.  The current display lacks organization and would also benefit from personalized descriptions of the product.  Something to tell the customer a little more about the piece, such as when if the flower is seasonal, or what it represents in the language of flowers.

I’m still in the process of establishing regular meeting times with Yohi to ensure we stay close to the timeline established in the proposal and hopefully this Saturday will be our first official meeting.  I prepared a few questions that I want to answer together with Yohi to better understand the business and the vision she has for her brand. So that’s my update for this week. Good luck to everyone else on their projects and I’ll be updating you all next week!
