Timesheets are distributed by email to accepted applicants of the program after they have been matched.
As a CPP participant, you are committed to meeting your partner six times throughout semester (meetups should be spread out).
All participants MUST fill out their timesheet in a timely manner (it must be submitted 48 hours after your meeting). We will not accept late timesheets or timesheets indicating 6 consecutive days of meetups at the end of the semester. Falsely recorded time sheets will result in loss of proof of participation and ineligibility to receive a CPP Certificate.
When you participate in the Conversation Partners Program, there are several options (it is possible to pursue the options simultaneously)
1. Be a Program Participant
Program Participant Requirements:
-
- Attend a required Orientation Session
- Commit to meeting your partner one-on-one (in-person/online) at least six times throughout the semester (meetings should be spread out). Each meeting should last at least an hour long. If you have more than one partner, you are committed to meeting EACH partner one-on-one at least six times throughout the semester.
- Complete the timesheet within 48 hours after your meeting. The deadline for the last submission is 11:59pm EST on Monday, December 15, 2025. Make sure your partner fills out the form as well.
- Complete the program feedback survey
2. Receive a CPP Certificate: if you would like to receive a Conversation Partners Program Certificate at the end of the semester, then see the additional requirements below.
CPP Certificate Requirements:
-
- Meet with your partner on-on-one for a minimum of 6 times (in-person or online), and each meeting must be at least an hour long (meetings must be spread out).
- Complete the timesheet within 48 hours after your meeting. The deadline for the last timesheet submission is 11:59pm EST on Monday, December 15, 2025. Make sure your partner fills out the form as well.
- Attend at least 3 CPP social events. However, General Interest Meetings and Orientation do not count towards the event requirements.
- Complete the program feedback survey
- Write a short reflection paper on your experience in the program
3. Receive Extra Credit from your professor: Some professors offer their students extra credit when they participate in CPP. Talk to your professors about the possibility of receiving extra credit.
Extra Credit Requirements:
-
- If your professor agrees to give extra credit for participating in CPP, then please ensure that you understand their specific requirements. For example, many professors require you to verify that you have met your partner 6 times in the semester by submitting a signed timesheet to them. CPP does not have the power to give you extra credit for your participation. We can only provide you with a timesheet log upon request after you complete the program requirements.
