The article in the New York Times, A Fruit Shake, Then Shaking to the Beat of Colombia, by Seth Kugel informs readers about the many restaurants people can go to in the five boroughs to get their Colombian fix. Kugel writes about the many different styles of the restaurants according to their location, and highlights some key delicacies one should not miss when going to a Colombian restaurant. He mentions many restaurants that are my personal favorites, including El Basurero (a restaurant in Astoria with a unique decoration resembling a trash can), La Fonda Antioqueña (which has the best Bandeja Paisa in Queens— in my opinion), Mama’s Empanadas, and the fancier version of Mama’s— Empanada Mama.

It is very interesting to find out that there are many successful restaurants all around the city, and not just in Queens (Jackson Heights, more specifically) where there is the greatest concentration of Colombian population. This article truly reveals the versatility of the cuisine; and how easy it is for the general public to love Colombian food because of its delectable taste.
