This week we did the following:

• Caught up on some themes on the reading of the first chapter on examining power in Data Feminism. Hope you got a chance to read your classmates and the thoughts/questions I was left with.
• Thought more about elements of challenging power in work on data based on some Discord discussion of chapter 2 in Data Feminism.
• Went through some important technical elements of working with data you find to learn more about what it is, strategies for finding out information about it, and researching more about the topic.
• Thought through what you have to do for the proposal and half-draft for the Data Set Biography and Influence Project.

Next Time

• Turn in your proposal for your Data Set Biography and Influence Project if you have not already.
• Turn in your half-draft of that project by end of day February 22.
