Like any other food product it also shows a calorie chart and ingredient list on the back as well. The calorie is listed for ½ serving of the package however, normally people do not notice this. It is a great marketing tactic for companies to implement on their product, so it seems low on calories. Normally people don’t just break the ramen in half and use half the ingredients and save the other half for later. The calorie is listed as 250 cal for ½ serving which makes the entire package 500 calories.

Shin Ramen uses a marketing tactic that many other companies such as Mcdonald uses. Mcdonalds logo is also red and yellow for a reason. These colors give off a feeling of comfort and increase one’s appetite as well, making the consumer more hungry. When someone is more hungry, the food automatically tastes better as well. Besides the color choices of the packaging, the package designers also chose to add a picture of a bowl of the cooked ramen on the package as well.
