1-A-Americans discriminatory towards Asians.
1-B-American media against Asian culture.
1-C-Americans find Asian culture irregular.
2-This a controversial issue due to the fact all Asian Americans have had an impact on the US/American society since the 1800s. However, even after 100+ years, the stereotypes have still endured.
3-I believe that Chau’s strongest argument was about films involving Asians. Also, it showed how Asians had progressed from playing small roles into big main roles. Later giving an example of the cast of the famous film “Crazy Rich Asians” where Asians play all the large roles.
4-In the 1800s, the Chinese flooded the US due to the gold rush in California. Which caused a dealt impact on job opportunities many being taken by Chinese immigrants. This impact would enrage many Americans because finding a job in their homeland was continuously becoming more difficult.
5-I had discovered that a large amount of the fact that Asians are misunderstood by Americans is because of media and the way they portrayed Asians. The reason why we even have this bad portrayal is that most producers emphasize stereotypes to get more views.
