Baruch in a picture & 300 words
For those of you who do not know, this is Victor Cruz, #80 of the New York Giants, doing the cha cha after scoring a touchdown during a game. Why is this my picture to describe my freshman year thus far? Well, I’ll give you my whole football-school analogy explaination.
Just like the game of football, college isn’t the easiest thing in the world. It takes a lot of hard work. It’s funny too, because people who don’t play the game, or attend the college, think it’s a lot easier than it ever is. It’s difficult with the different subjects you need to face, the amount of studying you need to put it can make it feel like there are not enough hours in the day, and sometimes, after a week, you feel more exhausted than anything. What are the comparrisons? Let’s say the different subjects are different teams, the amount of studying is all the practice time you must put in as a football player, and well, the last one goes without saying. Can you picture it?
Thankfully, our teammates, or peers make it easier because you have people enduring the same thing, trying to be the best, and they serve as both an aid and as motivation.
Oh, and when you do well on a test, get through your first semester with a favorable GPA, or graduate, you feel like Victor Cruz does with those touchdown dances.
Oh and don’t get me wrong, it’s totally a lot of fun, and it is by no means unbareable. There’s a lot of people on the team and yet it doesn’t feel that way. Regarding the time constraint, I admittedly do have a lot of free time, but at the same time I don’t – simply because I also work.
The analogy makes sense right? Attending college for me is like playing professional football. It’s difficult, it has it’s ups and downs, but in the long run, it’s worth it – especially when something really good happens where I want to get up and cha cha. Nothing’s surreal, I’m just playing a game and winning.

Candiibear’s onelogue.
Everyone has something about them that makes them unique, or special – whether they know it or not. It can be something tremendously amazing, or something amusingly silly. Regardless of what it is, it sets you aside from other people. I have no idea what that little quality is for me, and I don’t exactly plan on trying to find out. The fact of the matter is that I like myself just how I am, so it doesn’t really matter to me when it comes to knowing. I know enough about myself, like how appreciating the little things is my secret to happiness. Hold on to that golden advice tightly, you’ll thank me for it later. Take a second and just think back on all the little things that have brought a smile to your face, especially when you were having a bad day. There are so many examples I could give you guys. Imagine if I had done what I was previously planning on doing and writing this post to Clique by Kanye West featuring Big Sean and Jay-Z. That little change would’ve made a big different in this monologue, and let’s be honest for a minute – if I did that, if you were having a bad day, you would totally laugh after that. A little nickname that stuck on to me for years: Candiibear. I’m sure you guys may have them, or may have them for someone else. Think about the people you love and the little things they do for you that just make you love them more. It’s pretty great. It brings a smile to your face without thinking about it. Think back to the last time you had a really good hug after a long day, the one with a little squeeze; that’s definitely a day-maker. When you are dealing with a blackout and you end up doing something childish and fun to pass the time and therefore get some family bonding time as a result. Are you thinking about it? Are you remembering? Are you smiling? I know. I’m glad. Smiling is more fun.

Hey, I’m Candice, nice to meet you :D
Hi everyone Like the video says, this is me in a two minute nutshell. I could have sat there and just talked for two minutes but I figured that it’s always kind of nicer to hear what other people have to say. What you don’t know about me is that I’m a kid at heart. I love to do silly things. I get my work done when I need to. I don’t party much during the school year but regardless, I’ll always have a smile on my face. Want to know why? I believe that not being happy is a waste of life. I guess you can call that my mantra. I love everyone in my life. I love the people who spoke in the videos because I know they’re being genuine. I love the guys in the pictures; all of them are considered the bro. In order of the pictures, that’s Ben – a guy I’ve known since the fifth grade. Kyle’s next, one of the coolest guys I know. Chris is after, one of the most thoughtful people in the world. Lastly, Q, my best friend, my Sunshine, someone who has protected me since we first met and one of the most important people in my life. Oh, and there’s Paulie, my teddy bear, who I’m extremely attached to even though I’m 18. My grandmother is the most important person in my life – she passed away August 2009 but was a breast cancer survivor and she’s the reason why my life’s goal is to be a successful business woman one day and be able to create a charity that promotes cancer awareness. I don’t know what else to say, I’m never really good at explaining my personality, I suppose that’s why I had my friends do it.
My friends tell me that I have a really big heart made of gold. I never believe it but I strive to be like that. I don’t want anyone to ever feel like they’re less than what they are. I want to be that person who people can go to if they need it, because I’d want someone like that.
I guess little things about me are I like to cook. My favorite movie is RENT. I love bursting out into song. My friend Gabby and I dance to the music that’s blasting in my car whenever we’re at a red light. I like to blow bubbles. I’m scared of bugs :\ DON’T TOUCH MY FACE EVER. I was ranked #14 in high school, was nominated onto the Homecoming Court, was Class President, and was voted Most School Spirit. Of course, I had to have school spirit, my bros all made sure that I was at all of their home games for whatever sport they played. Whenever I take on a challenge, I want to do it to the best of my ability. I don’t “half ass” anything. That’s how I hurt my knee by the way everyone – I went a little too hard on my workouts so now I need physical therapy >< Oh well, c’est la vie.
