I guess what happens in high school applies to college as well, at least for me. First drafts are the final draft most of the times. They’ve been enough to get by so far. Who needs to revise a 100 page research paper? You either know the material or you don’t. It isn’t worth the time and effort for the few extra points gained from polishing it up. I had expected college to be very different. It is true for the most part, but the homework and essays are practically the same. The material covered in class is at a good pace, not a slow crawling one – calculus in a semester instead of two. The only thing I don’t like is the 50 minutes between classes trying to figure out what to do. In high school everyone went to the cafeteria during free periods. However, in college, there’s no set place to hang out.
Aside from all that, the desks are different. The desks you sit at change every time you move up in school. Elementary school had tables, middle school had tables/desks, high school had desks/less tables, and college has nothing but chairs with a mini desk screwed onto the chair. Imagine what they’re like in grad school, if you ever go.

Daniel Gong- monologue
Monologue
It was when I was in second grade when I got and shared my first computer with my sister. It was a Compaq computer, a company probably no one remembers anymore since it’s been taken over by many others over the years. The computer didn’t come with sound but that didn’t matter to me at the time. The first thing I did once windowsXP was installed was move the mouse towards the start button and clicked it. Clicked all programs, clicked the folder named Games, and opened up pinball.
I love games, maybe not all games but a good chunk of them. Before my parents bought a computer, I would watch my cousins play. Since my cousins lived in the apartment above mine I would go up there and watch them play Starcraft almost every day. If they weren’t playing when I visited them, I would literally take a nap and wait for them to start. But once I had my own computer I found my own games to play and because I couldn’t get a hold of starcraft since I highly doubted if my parents were going to buy it. Nevertheless, I still had fun without it. It was only until 2010 when Starcraft 2 was released and by then I did not need to ask permission to buy it. I was a very happy boy that day.
One thing that would complete my gaming crave is either a playstation or a Nds. Not everything can be played on the computer. I have always wanted either one of those but they cost a fortune though. It’s just the next best thing keeps coming. It was the gameboy advance, Nds now it’s the 3ds. Maybe one of these days I’ll finally settle for one and pray the next best thing doesn’t beat the 3ds.

These are my 8 pictures. They describe who I am. The first one, Best School Memory, it was fun back then to just do what the picture says. Obviously we’re too mature to still do that in the classrooms now but it’s something to remember. The Field Trip picture is very accurate. I am usually in the front of the bus; I don’t talk a lot. The next picture, Weekend, I really hate having only two days off from school. It is just not long enough. There always that Sunday where you have to do all your homework, basically cutting your weekend without work into one day. The next picture is a copter. I love computers. You can do anything with them; you can make it do anything you want it to do. The next picture is the AIM icon/logo. I am always on AIM. It is the first thing I open when I turn on my computer. As for the next 3 pictures, they are my entertainment. I like the show Supernatural, you can watch it on TV or online if you know where to look (Hulu or the cw website the week after the episode airs.) Lastly, I like to play games on the computer, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends. I grew up watching my cousins play Starcraft 1 and went through middle/highschool touching upon the League of Legends genre. (I’m currently 1530 elo if any one plays. I don’t get to play ranked matches that often.)
