Back in high school, you weren’t able to arrive late without a note from a teacher or parent. That was the case, because the class size was small and the teachers had a priority to make sure you do well and pass the class. On the other hand, in college the professor does not really care weather you show up late, or even show up to the class what so ever. If you arrive late that is on your part. The teacher wont go over the material again, the teacher wont help you because she will get the feeling that you don’t care much about the class, and you will probably end up failing. In college you have to be responsible enough to show up  on time and keep up with your work. No one is watching over you, because at the end of the day, the future is indeed in your hands. This meme is funny because its showing a college student who arrives late to his class, give his professor a note from his mom. Even though back in high school that was the norm, in college the professor doesn’t care as much because it will only hurt the student.

New York Times Blog 2

Our group decided to use music as our theme for the NY times Project. We decided to adhere to this theme because we knew that so many people listen and can relate to music. In addition to all that, we knew that music has many benefits and drawbacks to it which we all thought would be cool to explore. My article fits this them because it talks about how music can affect teens in general and their behaviors. I love to listen to music and what I realized was that my mood correlated with the type of music I listen too. Without music I don’t know what I would do in the shower and on my way to school. Music allows me to express myself. Music does make a difference!

Dear Dr. Pedro,

This is Shaun Edalati. I’m currently in your business 180 class, but I’ve taken additional classes of yours in the past, all of which have been very informative. Recently, I decided to switch my major to Finance, and I was hoping you might be willing to become my advisor. I realize that you must already have plenty of other students you are in charge of, but since your classes are part of the reason I decided to switch majors, I thought I would ask you first.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you would be willing to become my advisor.

Thank you very much,

SE. Who Am I?

http://www.kizoa.com/slideshow/d5886903k6329824o1/fro13

I am the sum total of my life experiences and influences. From my father, I have been instilled with a practicality and an analytical mind; this explains why I do not cry while watching ‘The Notebook.’ Consequently, helping my father though his transplant surgery has created a part in me that has learned to care for other people, to value life and realize how ephemeral it truly is. From my mother, I received the go-ahead to ‘dream’ and explore all possibilities as if life has no parameters or boundaries; these were the foundations that would anchor me, as the other elements of my surroundings and circumstances would change, evolve and mold. I have also played for D1 soccer teams since I was 13. I believe that learning to play sports, hone my skills and work with a team has helped to bring out a side in me that is both competitive and supportive. From each of life’s little daily experiences there came another stroke of the brush that goes into making the little pieces that make the whole of who I am.

My name is Shaun I had a crazy life, if you weren’t able to tell from the pictures. Each picture represents me in a whole different light which I will shortly describe. I grew up on long Island in a small affluent community. I went to high school at Great Neck South High where of course I made my close friends which I miss. I also play on the Baruch mens soccer team which keeps me busy.  I will now describe some of the pictures I have posted:

The first picture in my slideshow was when i was with all my friends in the Hamptons. Im with a good friend of mine yoni, and were playing a game called water pong.

In the third picture I am in the Bahamas for spring break with all of my friends. That was probably the best week I had ever had.

The fourth picture is from when i was only 5 years old.  I was in israel a place I truly love. Both my parents were born there so I often visit every summer.

The eight picture is a picture of me on my  friends yacht drinking a nice refreshing root beer. It was a great day on the water and I will never forget that moment. You rarely get the time to spend quality time with your family on a boat.

The 6th picture is at my brothers graduation. It was a cool experience and I was so proud of him. He graduated as student of the year, from the University of Southern California.

To sum it all up, I love having people around me. I am very close with my friends and family, and I cherish experiences because they stick with you forever.
