I listen to music a lot. And by a lot, I mean there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not tuned into a radio station or streaming music on Pandora. I love listening to music. I like to pay close attention to the lyrics and see if it relates to me at all. When it does, I feel more connected to the song. I also can’t stand the droning silence, so that’s probably a big reason why I need to have the music on at all times. I don’t play any instruments (unless one month of violin lessons back in the 6th grade counts) but sometimes I imagine myself playing along to the music, just to humor myself. I can’t sing to save my life either, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t scream my lungs out when my favorite songs are played. Most of the songs on this list are kind of depressing, but that’s just the type of music I like, nice and slow with some deep lyrics (sounds lame, I know.) My favorite one would probably have to be Demons by Imagine Dragons. I felt so moved the first time I heard it; the lyrics are just so powerful.
