Just The Basics

Family is the most important thing in the world to me, no matter how cliche it may sound.  They are my source of strength, my shoulder to lean on, and my own personal cheerleaders.

Money can be obtained in many ways, but I believe that one of the greatest skills to learn is earning it yourself.  I started working at a young age and to this day never ask my parents for money; one day I want to be able to give back everything that they’ve spent raising me.

I grew up surrounded by cooks and have grown to favor the kitchen more than any other room in my house.  Cooking is one activity that calms me, but at the same time excites me.

Even though I was born in the summer, winter will always be my favorite season.  I love the feeling of wearing cozy sweaters and fuzzy socks all day.  Snow is a pain to shovel, but the beauty that it leaves is worth it.

This picture speaks for itself.  I’m a lazy person and I admit it.  Even though I try to be productive in my free time and get as much work done as possible, there are times when I just don’t feel like doing anything.

Since I was in elementary school, my mom has taught me to be tough both inside and out.  I’ve learned to defend myself both physically and mentally.  I’d always rather be ready to face whatever is thrown my way.

Growing up I spent many of my summers playing at my cousins’ house.  They are both older boys, so they were interested in playing sports all the time.  I often played with them and grew to enjoy actively playing different sports, particularly volleyball.  This led to my years of playing on the town’s recreational team and on my high school volleyball team.

My dream is to travel the world.  I want to visit as many countries as possible and experience different cultures.

  1. Stephanie, you are the second person to enjoy colder temperatures (specifically, Aaron appreciates snow). I’ll go as far as to appreciate a snow day 🙂 Where do you hope to travel on your adventures?
