My group decided to do our topic on Greek Life in College. Hollywood have made countless jabs at the negativity of college Greek Life, and I found this really interested and wanted to see if Greek Life is really as bad as it is seen on the big screen. Through this project I was able to learn the positive and negative side of Greek Life. In one of my articles of an elder man who joined a fraternity, showed the members of the social organization have a special bond that last a lifetime. They do great things like charity, community service, bake sales, and more. The negative side of this life style is the continuous act of hazing which resulted in some deaths. My bearcat article described the options we have at Baruch. As freshmen in our first semester, we are just adjusting to college life. Being active in the school community by joining a club or a Greek letter organization is a good way to make new friends and adjust. Not only did I have fun completing this project, I also become aware of the many options Baruch has to offer to keep its students interested.
