Hey everyone!
The following you can view eight pictures that I would say represents me.
Blog Post 1
The first picture is of New York City. I chose this picture because i consider myself a city girl and I do not ever intend on changing that. The city atmosphere is very relaxing and the city offers so many adventures, more than I can most likely endure in. I was born and raised in The Bronx, New York however every moment I got, I traveled to Manhattan to explore.
The second picture is of a batch of whoopie pies I made not to long ago. This picture represents my baking side. Not only my baking side but cooking in general. I enjoyed cooking and baking from a very young age. I am always wanting to learn more receipies from my mother and from other sources. However at home I usually just deal with the dessert making, ranging from cupcakes, cookies, custards, and even chocolate.
The third picture is of me on halloween last year. Every halloween I dress up in something different and in a way unique that most people dont typically do. This represents my artistic side. I enjoy sketching, painting and even doing intricate henna designs. I especially enjoy painting on people (this mostly happens during halloween) and doing henna designs on myself since they are outlets for my creativity.
The fourth picture is of my siblings and me about 7 years ago. I have two younger brothers and an older sister, making me the second born in the family. This picture represents me since I am very family oriented. I fight and have fun with my siblings all the time. My youngest sibling especially helped shape me into a motherly type of figure since I can officially claim that I raised him from when he was little since my mother and father were busy with work.
The fifth picture is another picture of a family member, however one more dear to me, my father. My father, I would say, is my identity. Growing up I always heard from others that I had my father’s face and his personality. Initially I didn’t really put much effort and thought into it. However as I grew older I kept hearing from others about how amazing my father is, as he was a respected figure in his county in Bangladesh and in a the Bengali communities in the Bronx and Queens. My father passed when I was 12 years old however my mother says that his values, attitude, and personality lives more in me than in any other sibling. I was clearly my father’s favorite child (along with my youngest brother).
The sixth picture is of my kitten, Snicker. Snicker represents me since I was always fond of cats and kittens, and afraid of almost any other animal. I got snicker two days before the first day of college and has become an essential part of the family, as “my baby”. Snicker is a very odd kitten, who enjoys belly rubs, laying on his back to take naps, and likes to “kiss” me. Snicker is simply a part of who I am at this point.
The seventh picture is of a few surgeons. More specifically oral surgeons operating on someone. This picture represents me since in the future I intend on becoming an oral surgeon. First off I would need a medical, then dental, then surgical degree. But its a process which I think is worth waiting and taking part in. I wanted to become a dentist since the age of three, my mother thought I would grow out of it but wanting to be a dentists simply never left me.
Finally, the eighth picture is of diamonds. This picture represents me since diamonds is my birth stone. Not only that, but I like almost anything that is covered in diamonds. With my father, his brothers, and my mother’s sisters I was considered the princess in the house, so I seemed to have grown up with diamond/ crystal studded dressed and ornaments. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend no?
