This gif basically explains my first semester at baruch:

I never used to drink coffee because I always had enough energy to get through the day and then some. However, the stress of trying to get certain work done and then redoing it for a better grade changed that. Instead of simple homeworks here and there, everything seemed like a big project. It became a struggle to stay focused or even awake in class and at home all I was inclined to do was to sleep. So I started drinking coffee and it has helped to keep me awake and to pay attention to what is at hand. College is something we all need to adjust to, but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it and that next semester will be a little better because I now know what to expect.

It’s Not a Game!

When I was around 9, I played for a soccer club team called Chernomorets. In the summer I was in the team’s camp and something happened that I will never forget. The camp would go to some public school for lunch, because the school gave out free lunches for camps. My teammates and I would always go to the bodega that was down the block just to get some snacks and candies. Some kids on the team would always grab snacks and stuff into each others’ bags, only purchasing a soda or a drink. For the one dollar that they paid for the drink they would have 2 bags of chips, baby bottle pops, and skittles stuffed in their bags. A week or two go by and nobody is getting caught so soon most of the kids are doing it. 15-20 of us enter the bodega and certain people would be the ones to buy drinks, certain people would carry the bookbags, and certain people would be stuffing food into the bags. It was all a game to us and seemed like a challenge. Who could take the most while paying the least and still not get caught. Believe it or not this is very illegal and dangerous. I found that out the hard way. I just finished my lunch and was going to the bodega with a couple of my friends when we saw that there was a cop car there and one of the older kids on the team was in cuffs. It turns out the manager saw him stuffing the food into a bag and called the cops on him. The cops happened to be in the area so they were there within minutes. Seeing my friend opened my eyes to the fact that stealing was a crime and that there were serious consequences to it. As fun and cool as it may seem in the moment, stealing is never okay and you should never do it. Once I realized how illegal and how serious it really was, I haven’t even had a thought about it. Stay safe guys and don’t be oblivious to the real world around you!

No No No!

Out of everything that I could say about myself, I realized that my friends and family mean the most to me. Looking through my pictures I could just how many memories I have with them. In high school, my soccer team was so close with each that we were a family. We would play our hearts out for each other and we were the closest clique in the school. I also kickbox and my gym is like a second home to me. I know alot of the guys there since I was around 5 years old so we practically grew up together. The picture in which all of us are wearing purple hoodies represents how far we all came. Entering high school we were all scared and confused and four years later we were all running the school as best friends and nobody could come between us. Finally there is my parents, sister, and dog Toby. I love them with all my hearts and would do anything for each and every one of them. The person that I am today is all because of who my parents raised me to be. My sister is two years older than me and I love her with everything in me. I don’t usually express my feelings about my family but when I do it’s usually about my sister because she means that much to me. In general friends and family are what my life revolves around. All the laughs, memories, and good meals of course are what I think of when I think of them. They define me and that’s what comes to mind when I want to describe myself and who I am.
