Beta Alpha Psi GIM

One of the biggest organizations in colleges are fraternities and sororities. Seeing that many of my friends who were a year or two older join these, I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. Me and a couple friends decided to go to a Beta Alpha Psi’s general interest meeting. This was a business honor society frat, which really caught my attention. At first, the meeting was looking really slow, but as soon as they brought in the free pizza, things started picking up. They had a lot of members within the business field who’ve had the chance to work for many prominent businesses such as J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, PWB, and so on. It was in a way impressive to me that they had so many connections to such big companies. They would continue to restate that this fraternity was a very prestigious organization that contains many benefits. I knew for a fact that this fraternity is truly a place where if you put in the work, you would be able to suceed and reach further than if you were to try alone. With the help of the experienced members, landing a job, scoring that interview, and overall confidence in yourself is sure to come. However, you needed to maintain a 3.5 grade point average, a minimum of 12 credits, and a one time ninety five dollar fee. I thought everything was alright but the ninety five dollar fee. Nevertheless, it was a very interesting meting that I don’t regret attending because I kind of got to know what some frats are about and what makes them unique at Baruch college. It’s clear that this fraternity is a very serious fraternity and has it’s perks and benefits. With all this said, I appreciated the free pizza they gave us, but I don’t think I’m going to join this fraternity.
