Academic Workshop

Coming to Baruch, I’ve learned that the calculus math class for the first year students is extremely hard and that many students have to retake it the next semester. I found this out to be true when I was struggling in my math class in the first month of the semester. Afraid of being one of the kids that would fail the math course, I got help from one of the resources I heard on campus, SACC. I signed up for the Monday workshop and went to get help with math. They were extremely helpful and explained any confusion I had. I personally enjoyed that I got to learn in a smaller environment because in the class environment, I felt less encouraged to ask questions. I would definitely recommend others to sign up if they are struggling in any class they have (especially math).
