Last Thursday, I attended a weekly Hillel club meeting with a career twist to it. A guest speaker named Guy Franklin, who happens to work for the Israeli startup company SOSA, came to speak to us. He gave a presentation and told us about how many Israeli startups originally based in Tel Aviv are moving to New York and are currently looking for college students to intern at their companies. Some of these companies are the apps Waze, Fiverr, Gett, and Juno just to name a few. There are over 300 of these startups located in the city and as a takeaway from Guy’s presentation, they all seem to offer a great opportunity for college students to start making business connections.
