Hello. So excited to be posting my first blog. This past Thursday, I took the time I had during my gaps to visit “The Accounting Society.” I decided to attend this, because my major currently is accounting. I believe this club will be able to lead me to a successful future. To start off, the club had food and drinks for us lined up on the tables. We ate delicious pizza from Papa Johns and water was included. After, we decided to play the “zoom in” game. We had to guess what the picture was when the picture was zoomed in by a lot. After, we talked about the basics of the clubs. We were told they have tons of accounting networks that we can build a relationship with. In addition, the club has many activities that build professional development. Lastly, this club does a lot to help back into the community by volunteering, which is one of the things that made me more excited for this club. I cannot wait till the next time I attend another meeting with this club!
