8th week of college

I bought a monthly MTA  card but it printed out a 1 time use and it still charged me $130 smh. I bought buffalo wild wings blazin wings and barely got through one wing, not a lot is going on.

6th week of college

I went to a wedding this weekend in Seattle for a family friend of ours, after the rehearsal dinner on friday I went back to the TKE frat house at UW and proceeded to get royally wasted to the point that I missed the wedding the next day, usually I wouldn’t be in that bad of shape but I think because of the jet leg and I was already getting a little sick made it a lot worse. Fun fact though when I finally made it into the reception that night I sat down at my spot and struck up a conversation with the great great great grandson of Teddy Roosevelt I later found out.

5th week of college

My English teacher is pretty cool. He’s super old and hates all electronics so there’s no way to contact him, we always joke the only way to get ahold of him is through mail. Every other person is on there phone during class and he doesn’t notice unless hears something and looks in your general direction. Overall its pretty fun though cause we make it fun.

4th week of college

I went to Philadelphia to go visit my Aunt and Uncle and it was fun, I got a home cooked meal for the first time in a couple months and it was pretty good. I drank beers with my uncle and watched the disappointment in his eyes as he watched the Phillies play a pointless game. I am a fan of the philly cheeses take so I was excited to be able to get an authentic one.

3rd week of college

I have an American Government teacher who can’t teach. He doesn’t use slides or anything to help us take notes, all he does is assigns a reading and talks about about. He has a very strong accent, and nothing is wrong with that, but it does not help me to try and stay focused. We had our first test and it was the midterm and most of the class failed, a few got a C, and the highest score was an 82, people shouldn’t be failing an entry level American government class.

2nd week of college

I have a math teacher who thinks he’s the shit and always says how his “other class from Laguardia can do it so why can’t you guys.” He doest teach us at all and his class is a joke. Even though he try’s to roast us every class, we always are catching him on his mistakes so why should I take him seriously if a bunch of people who are dozing in and out of sleep at 8 am are catching his mistakes I can’t imagine how many mistakes we don’t know about in our notes.

first week of college

The first week of college was different then expected, Im from Washington state so I didn’t really know about CUNY and how disorganized they are. They lost my housing deposit check, immunization forms, and made me fly out to New York in the middle of June to take a placement test for math then told me I could have taken it right before school started, after I was already in New York. But back to my first week of college, it was pretty alright nothing too special.

Weekly Reflection: Final Class

We just had our last FYS class of the year, and it ran as normally as any other one. However, the kids who stayed until the end got donuts and munchkins apparently. In class, wee presented the last of our monologues, which was the most interesting part of the year because I heard a few people’s voices for the first time. I got a deeper look at some of my classmates for the first and last time. It was a great experience being in FYS this year, but hey it’s not truly done until I finish my third enrichment workshop.

Weekly Reflection

I am honestly glad that FYS is over because it frees up a slot of time for me to study for other classes as just like on Thursdays it gives me a four hour break to work problems, different subject, etc. The main thing that I took from this class is the many opportunities that Baruch has to offer and all the events that are consistently popping up. With this in mind I can try to balance my life with some fun things to do without going too far from the college.  Beside entertainment, information on the academic scope such as the tutoring center also gave me away to fix my grades in the present and the future.
