Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Professional Networking

Please join the SIPA Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy concentration for the second workshop in the HRHP Professional Development Series. This workshop aims to facilitate a dialogue on professional networking from different cultural perspectives, and strategies to successfully overcome these differences.The workshop will be facilitated by Daniel Berezowsky, SIPA HRHP Alum ’18.

Daniel’s work has spanned the design of policies to advance human rights; strategic lobbying in the Mexican Federal Congress; and speechwriting for some of the top decision-makers in the country, including the former Attorney General and the current Minister of Home Office, as well as numerous Senators and Deputies.

As a senior advisor to the Minister of Home Office of Mexico, Daniel took part in many of the country’s most critical moments, including the collaboration process with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights regarding the case of Ayotzinapa, as well as the design of a work path to ratify Convention 189 of the International Labor Organization. He was also part of the team in charge of organizing the first-ever meeting of a Mexican President with the LGBTQ community.

Daniel has directed award-winning short films and documentaries; he has written columns for multiple newspapers and is a contributor to the HuffPost (Mexico edition). He is currently an advisor at Shift, the leading center of expertise on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
