Developing Luxury Tourism in Northeast Brazil, A Case Study
March 5, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Gremi International is planning the development of EcoEstrela, a luxury, ecological tourist resort on its fully owned beach front property in Baía Formosa (north-eastern Brazil). The project site covers an area of approximately 2,500 hectares and 6.5 km of coastline. It is currently the largest hospitality project under development in South America. This project could be key to the unlocking Brazil’s under-developed tourist potential.
Learn what it necessary to develop a major tourist resort in North-eastern Brazil, and what this could mean for the future of tourism for the country. Leading the discussion will be Piotr Maj, Head of Project Management for Gremi International, and Wolf Hengst, formerExecutive Chairman of Six Senses Hotel Resorts and Spas and Founder of Amala International Hotel Advisers, LLC (Six Senses will operate the first phase of Eco Estrela). Mr. Hengst is legend in the hotel business, having spent 30 years creating the Four Seasons brand, retiring as its President of operations after 30 years as President. Six Senses was recently acquired by Inter-Continental Hotel Group, the world’s second largest hotel chain.
