European Tech Night – Special Female Founders

March 13, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

PNG

European Tech Nights are a cycle of events organized by European accelerators, Consulates and trade missions, bringing together the European tech scene of New York.
While the industry has recently made some efforts to address gender equality, female founders are still facing serious challenges. According to PitchBook, U.S. female-founded startups have raised only 2.2% of venture capital investment in 2018, despite statistics showing that startups with a woman on the founding team outperform their all-male counterparts by 63% (First Round Capital 10 year project).
On this edition, 4 female founders will pitch their startups and present the solutions to the challenges they have personally faced as women entrepreneurs.
Elodie Dupuy, Managing Director and founder of Full in Partners, Helen Altshuler, Google Maps’ Engineering manager and Emilie Maret, fellowship at The Family will discuss “How Mentoring Can Help Scale Up Women-Led Startups?”
On this occasion, French Minister for Gender Equality, Marlène Schiappa, will share special insights on the topic.

Register yourself here. Women and men welcome.
