Wenner Media seeking a Tax Intern

Wenner Media, publisher of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men’s Journal magazines is seeking a Tax Intern for the Spring 2011 semester.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare federal and state tax returns and estimated tax vouchers.

-Prepare tax return workpapers.

-Respond to tax notices from various taxing authorities.

-Assist with special projects and generative administrative duties.

-Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Requirements:

-Sophomore status or above required.

-Minimum 3.0 GPA in Accounting or Finance major (preferred).

-12– 16 hours per week.

-Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

-Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

-This is an unpaid internship, but offers a good learning opportunity, diverse experience, and may provide the availability for college credit.
