The TeatroStageFest’s International Fall Season at Baruch Performing Arts Center

October 11, 2012 By lmaestro

The TeatroStageFest’s International Fall Season at Baruch Performing Arts Center

TeatroStageFest promotes and supports local Latino artists and companies, and introduces multicultural audiences in New York to groundbreaking performing arts from Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain. In this occasion, we are presenting Amarillo, a multimedia and physical theater performance by Mexico’s Teatro Linea de Sombra. This play has been acclaimed by critics and audiences in many festivals worldwide. The presentations will take place at Baruch Performing Arts Center on October 18, 19 and 20, at 8:00 PM. You can read more detailed information about the play on our website: http://www.teatrostagefest.org/int-productions.html

I am also enclosing an e-flyer to this e-mail.     TeatroStageFest’s Encuentro flyer        eflier amarillo english with special discount

Besides, we are also organizing an afternoon-long conference on Saturday, Oct. 20 (also at BPAC) on the topics of the play. Our intention is to offer an alternative take on immigration: the first part will feature the work of Latino artists in the US, who have developed original projects with both professional actors and new immigrants; the second panel will deal with the recently approved “deferred action status” and the work carried away by New York organizations to educate and empower a new generation of young Latino immigrants. I also enclose a flyer with this information.

I believe these two events can be of great interest and we actually offer very accessible prices for students, including a combined ticket for the conference and the show for only $20.

Thank you.
