Hebrew University of Jerusalem / Rothberg International School (RIS)

October 26, 2012 By lmaestro

The Rothberg International School at Hebrew University of Jerusalem (ranked 53rd in the best universities) by one poll can collaboratively work to meet Baruch student body’s needs through a variety of programs. Our goals are to enhance a student’s university experience by enabling him or her to become innovative global learners, educators, and future local and world leaders.

  • students can spend a semester, year, or summer
  • students can learn the Hebrew language
  • students can join fellow students in excursions around the city.

Every program includes an Ulpan (an intensive Hebrew immersion course), and/or Arabic language instruction, and a wide variety of diverse academic courses.

All of our courses are taught entirely in English, unless otherwise specified.

We offer generous need-based scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students. For the 2012-2013 academic years, we are offering over $600,000 in financial aid to qualified students, and there is also CUNY funding for students through the Littman Mattess Memorial Scholarship Fund at RIS. In addition, we offer free health care insurance to all full-time students too!

RIS offers nine MA degree programs, as well as a semester or year visiting option for graduate level students including recent college graduates who have not yet commenced a program of graduate study.

There are also a number of exciting summer programs, including language immersion in Modern or Biblical Hebrew, Modern Standard or Colloquial Arabic, and students can also choose from a wide array of summer courses ranging from Israeli Politics, the Middle East, Environmental Studies, and even participate in an archaeological dig or participate in a local internship.

Even though our school is in Israel, our office is in New York, and we’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. Our website is http://overseas.huji.ac.il/

You can reach us at (212) 607.8520. We hope to see you next year in Jerusalem! And please see below for the fast facts information.
